Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary is currently working as the Dean of Administration and a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. In 27 years of his professional career, Prof. Chaudhary has served as an academician, a researcher and an industry expert in structural engineering and sustainable construction practices. His group carries out analytical and experimental studies, ranging from the microstructural behaviour of building materials and the development of sustainable building products to the analysis of large structures. His work on sustainable construction materials and products has resulted in two patents and the first technology transfer of the Indian Institute of Technology Indore. Prof. Chaudhary has also engaged in multidisciplinary and international collaborative research to develop sustainable global solutions. He is one of the core interdisciplinary team members of 8 faculty members who secured an INR 100-crore grant for establishing a Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at IIT Indore.
The Government of the Russian Federation has recently invited him to create a world-class research laboratory at NPI, Russia and lead a Project on Carbon-neutral technologies for recycling large-tonnage fuel wastes to produce functional geopolymer materials. He has served on prestigious committees at the National and International Levels and is presently Secretary of the Technical Committee on "Life Cycle Maintenance of Concrete Infrastructures (TC-LCM)" of the Asian Concrete Federation.
